file under: of cumpleaños

today my better half gains a bit of ground in the age race.

the first time she came to nyc for a visit, i told the waiter at that restaurant on india row that it was her birthday. that was when they played the famous "happy birthday, everybody" song on the cheap overhead speakers. i will always remember the little swivelling disco light that was on, and the clunking noise it made as the different colored lights rotated around and around.

clunk clunk clunk

happy birthday, N. growing older with you is fun!

That evening at that Indian restaurant (which no longer exists, sadly) is one of my favourite memories. Of course! Growing older with you is always great, and is now even better thanks to the awesome (and out-of-print) Rumble Fish soundtrack you managed to score (excuse the pun). From Spain, no less! Oh si!

Should we get the DVD, or would that be a little too much Copeland to handle?

We should probably lend the CD to the Mateses at some point, too, because I'm sure Paul appreciates SC as well! (Hmm. Just realized that those are his wife's initials, too. Hmmmmmm.)
